At Tennessee Self-Defense Academy, our training goes far beyond learning self-defense techniques. Every class is designed to build confidence, discipline, respect, and mental focus—qualities that help our students succeed at home, in school, at work, and in everyday life.
We offer martial arts instruction for both youth and adults in a welcoming, supportive environment. Adult students can train in Boei Shido or Shito-Ryu Karate, while our youth program focuses on Shito-Ryu Karate, helping students develop strong fundamentals, self-confidence, and lifelong character through structured training.
We also offer Tai Chi classes that promote balance, flexibility, coordination, and relaxation. Through slow, controlled movements and mindful breathing, students improve both physical and mental wellness while reducing stress and enhancing overall quality of life.
